Meridian Industrial LLC is being formed to solve a supply problem: builders and manufacturers want to use hemp, and cannot get consistent material at volume.
Hemp-lime construction, bio-based panels and natural-fiber insulation have moved past the demonstration stage. Architects specify them, code officials approve them, and owners want them. What has held the category back in the United States is not demand — it is feedstock.
Most domestic hemp hurd is a byproduct: whatever is left after a grower's primary crop is handled, sold run-of-line, with particle size and dust load varying load to load. A manufacturer cannot build a repeatable formulation on that, and an architect will not specify a material whose performance drifts.
Meridian Industrial was formed to treat hurd as the product rather than the leftover — to source raw biomass from licensed Texas producers, run it through decortication, cleaning and screening, and deliver graded material a manufacturer can spec, test and reorder with confidence. Getting there starts with licensing, which is where our effort is focused today.
Our business will be mechanical separation, cleaning and grading of hemp stalk. That is the whole operation, and it is where our equipment and process focus sit.
We intend to buy from licensed producers. That keeps us focused on throughput and quality rather than agronomy, and lets us scale supply without scaling acreage.
We will not make finished building products, which means we will not be competing with the customers we supply.
No extraction, no cannabinoid products, no smokable material. Industrial and construction end uses only.
Meridian Industrial LLC is organized in Texas and administered from Frisco, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Basing the company in Texas puts us inside a large domestic hemp growing region and within trucking distance of major construction markets across the South and Southwest — which keeps freight, often the deciding cost in a low-density material, under control.
Our processing facility has not yet been sited. Facility selection is proceeding alongside licensing — square footage, planned annual throughput, equipment and freight access will be published here once secured.
